When does the program begin and end?

The 2019 Hillside INTERNSHIP Program is an 11-week experience which will start in late May and end the 1st week of August.

What does the Intern experience look like?

A week-long boot camp to kick-off your Intern experience
Professional and spiritual development from staff leaders
Practical ministry experience
Mentoring groups for Interns
Coaching & evaluations from team leaders
Participation in Campus & All Staff gatherings
Intern & Resident Class fellowships

What areas of ministry can Interns specialize in?

Please let us know if you have areas of specific interest. If you want to keep things general, that is great too. You do not have to pick a specialty.

Areas to consider:

Worship | Worship Tech | Video Production | Kids | Students | College | Guest Services | Care | Groups |
Communications | Information Systems

What are the time requirements for being an Intern?

Plan on receiving 10 hours of development and training each week while spending 20 hours per week on practical ministry experience. Interns should expect to commit the summer to this program. Due to the full schedule, we don’t allow participants to seek full-time jobs elsewhere.

Is this a paid Internship?

Monthly stipends are available for participants.

Our commitment: We are passionate about training up the next generation of leaders who will serve not just at Hillside, but also in churches around the world!

Our context: At Hillside you will have the unique opportunity to experience ministry in a multi-site context. We have campus locations across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico.

Our church: As we pursue our mission to love God as we lead others into a growing relationship with Jesus, we value church health over church growth. Hillside will offer you the opportunity to be a part of some great ministry experiences and will challenge you to grow spiritually.
