Then There Were Two
God gave Moses Ten Commandments.
No other gods besides me.
Don’t misuse the name of the Lord your God.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor your father and your mother.
Do not murder.
Do not commit adultery.
Do not steal.
Do not give false testimony.
Do not covet.
The Jewish religious leaders identified 613 laws and regulations for God’s people to follow.
613 things to do or not do, to be in good standing with God.
They asked Jesus which command in the law was the greatest. Jesus said there were two things that everything else depended on.
Love God. Love people.
There were ten.
There were six hundred and thirteen.
And then there were two.
