It’s a season of new. New year. New opportunities. New you. Except that for lots of us, nothing really ever feels new. We are our same selves. Thinking the same thoughts. Doing the same things. Struggling with the same problems. It’s hard to imagine how things could ever change.
THERE IS HOPE FOR A NEW FUTURE.
A clean slate is a fresh start. It is an opportunity to start over. It means the record of wrongs has been wiped clean. The things that defined us in the past don’t have to be the things that mark us today. But how do we get that clean slate, and what do we do with it once we have it?
The Bible tells us exactly what it means to have a new start.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
You can have a clean slate. You can have a new future.
