Welcome

Welcome to Hillside! You’ll hear this phrase many times when you are a guest at one of our campus locations….and we mean it! Our Guest Services team is here to make sure you feel welcome and valued from the time you enter the parking lot to the time you drive away. Our volunteers are here with one mission in mind: to go out of their way in demonstrating Christ’s love. Whether it’s your first time at Hillside or you’ve been attending for many years, we hope you feel welcome and at home. If you’re here on the weekend and we can help in any way, just look for someone with a nametag.

Guests

The atmosphere at Hillside is casual and friendly. It’s a place where ties or jeans are equally welcome. It’s a place where you can have a cup of coffee between services or just visit with a friend. Come as you are. Many people serve every weekend to make your experience here the best it can possibly be. When you drive into the parking lot at Hillside, our parking team will greet and direct you. These men and women will help you find a parking spot and even help ferry you to the building. Once inside, there will be many Guest Services volunteers to answer any questions to help you find what you need.

If you have children, our greeters can help you find the Children’s area. There is a desk at the Children’s doors that is for first-time guest registration. All children attending programming must be registered for their safety and for parent’s peace of mind. After they are registered, you will receive a receipt to present when picking up your children. The volunteers there can help direct you to the auditorium for worship services.

On Sundays, we have programming for Students available at the Amarillo South and Amarillo West campus locations. There are also great programs for Students on Wednesday nights at all of our campuses.

We have a variety of Campus Groups for any adult to attend. If you are interested in meeting with other adults for study and fellowship during the week, consider becoming a part of a Home Group or a Campus Group. This is the best way to meet people and build friendships at Hillside. You can find more information about this on our GROUPS page.

Serve

We know that we never get a second chance to make a first impression. We want every guest’s first impression of Hillside to be exceptional. It takes many volunteers serving each weekend to make that happen.

Our Guest Services volunteers are here to go out of their way to show people Christ’s love as we:

  • Help people find parking spaces and get in the building
  • Greet people in the parking lot
  • Open doors while welcoming them in
  • Help guests find their way around the building
  • Provide information
  • Connect through fellowship and food at the Café
  • Assist them in finding a seat in the worship service
  • Help with Baptisms
  • Fill and clean communion trays
  • Serve communion

There are a wide variety of jobs at every campus where people can serve. Our Serve link can direct you to the place to sign up and serve in Guest Services.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).
